We are thrilled to announce the 1st Annual United Kingdom Week for the Animals presented by Animal World International will take place July 3-11, 2010.

As we move forward, we will begin to post on our Calendar of Events page with events taking place throughout the United Kingdom during this truly amazing UK Week for the Animals.

Throughout the week educational institutions, animal shelters, rescue groups, agencies, and humane organizations throughout the United Kingdom will be hosting scores of wonderful animal-related special events. Educators, students, businesses and caring citizens across the UK will be joining in, creating and planning their exciting activities to celebrate and help build awareness for the animals.

Events will include adoption fairs, spay/neuter awareness events, shelter beautification days, R.E.A.D. dog programs in libraries, walks for the farm animals and therapy dogs visiting hospitals and nursing homes.

Also to be included are a salute to our canine military and police dogs, feral cat initiatives, animal law events, educational programs at the zoos, blessings for the animals, and full-filled festival days for families to come and enjoy food, music and the always amazing animals!

Please become involved! Events are being planned now, and we need animal lovers everywhere in the United Kingdom to start planning so we can all collectively participate!  See the page "Become Involved" on this website for lots of great ideas and suggestions on what you can do.

See the Calendar of Events for exciting events already in the planning,  and please note we will be adding events and activities right up to the kick-off of the exciting week.
